Mr. Ricardo A. Alburez is our Chief Credit Officer. He oversees the underwriting of all our transactions, ensures credit quality is maintained and that loan delivery is operating efficiently. He is also a member of our Credit Committee. Mr. Alburez joins us from Taberna Capital Management in New York, and offers expertise in originating, structuring and underwriting real estate transactions. At Taberna, he was the Vice President of Real Estate Debt where he closed over $400 Million of debt positions that included subdebt, bridge loans, investment grade CMBS, Trust Preferred Securities and CRE CDO positions for all asset classes. His role included canvassing the market for investment opportunities, supervising the underwriting staff, directing the preparation of credit committee packages and submitting investments to rating agencies. Prior to this, he worked as an Underwriter for BlackRock in New York and as a Vice President for Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. in both their New York and Los Angeles offices. Mr. Alburez also has a sound accounting background including as Controller at Tishman Speyer Properties. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Boston University.
